What to get: “life-changing” sandwiches and salads with your choice of base, protein, and sidekick
My favourites: salad bowl with citrus vinaigrette, plenty of vegetables, cilantro, pickled jalapeños and chicken marinated in citrus juices and coconut milk. Add clean slaw as a sidekick (cabbage with coconut, mint, and cilantro).
What to get: mostly raw vegan food, pizza, cold-pressed juices and smoothies, house-made kombucha, Ukrainian-inspired dishes. They also serve breakfast, including acai bowls and coconut yogurt parfaits.
My favourite: West Meets East Platter (raw falafel, hummus, tabbouleh, homemade salsa, marinated eggplant, curried carrots, and coconut-cashew tzatziki sauce with iceberg lettuce tacos)
What to get: vegetarian comfort food, miso gravy, bowls, stir-fry, burger platters, salads, nachos, soups and chilli, burritos, enchiladas, smoothies
My favourites: dragon bowl (steamed veggies on brown rice with miso gravy, tofu, peanut sauce, grated carrots and beets, alfalfa sprouts and wakame) and steak platter (veggie-nut patty smothered in miso gravy and served with sesame fries and steamed veggies)
What to get: tea and coffee, baked goods and desserts made in-house daily, salads, sandwiches, homemade soups. A lovely place for meetings with a relaxed but classy vibe, classical music, and huge outdoor patio.
My favourites: homemade butternut squash soup, rare ahi tuna salad
